U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials successfully captured a baby squirrel found on a plane that had just flown in to Houston from Costa Rica; it is now in the custody of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

Despite the numerous security precautions in place, once in a while, a passenger is able to sneak onto a plane for a free flight.

This appears to be what happened when a baby squirrel was found on a plane that had landed at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston after arriving from Costa Rica, typically a three to four hour trip.

The aircraft had been emptied of passengers and was in the process of being readied for the next flight when the rust-colored animal was found by workers.
